Q & A with the Lovely Elle Fields!

On this fall Monday morning here in upstate NY, I have the pleasure of talking to the lovely Elle Fields, the Author of Geli Voyante's HOT OR NOT!

If your haven't already had the chance to read this amazing story, you must!  You will not be disappointed!
Elle, THANK YOU for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with me at One Book at a time!

Elle, I want to begin by asking, Where did you get your inspiration for GELI VOYANTE’S HOT OR NOT?

My inspiration came from seeing an engagement announcement on Facebook. The engagement announcement belonged to a girl who had always, oddly, acted like I was her biggest rival - she competed with whatever I was up to which was a shame as, that aside, she was a nice person. But, this rivalry is what inspired the characters of Geli and Tiggy, two "friends" who compete in all that they do. I'm sort of thankful for her behaviour now!

I LOVE to ask this next question, if you were to get the opportunity to make this book into a movie - what actors and actresses do you see fitting into the roles?
Great question! I could totally see Emilia Clarke playing Geli, with Leighton Meester playing her arch-nemesis Tiggy. They would portray the rivalry between those two characters perfectly! The actor to play Theo - he's Geli's colleague and she has a big crush on him - would have to be someone a little bit dreamy but also a little bit evil. I think Joe Manganiello would be perfect!

Do you have any new ideas or new books in the works that you would like to share with your friends?

I'm currently working on Found, which is the third book in my Arielle Lockley series.

I'm sure writing takes up a good chunk of your day, when your not busy writing away, what do you like to do for fun?

I love exploring London, which is where I live, and also taking trips overseas to discover new places. I'm also a bit of a foodie, love watching musicals on the West End, and am a voracious reader.

Lastly. do you enjoy doing blog tours?  Are there parts that you may enjoy more than others?
Blog tours are so much fun, and I love finding out what people think of my books as well as sharing guest posts and answering questions on blogs.
