On this crisp Friday morning here in upstate New York, I have the pleasure of talking to Samantha March, the author of Up To I Do! Let me begin by saying how AMAZING the cover to this recent novel is. Simply Gorgeous!
Samantha, thank you for taking time out of your busy weekend schedule to chat with me at One Book At A Time today!
Samantha, I want to begin by saying, I LOVE your cover - simply amazing! Where did you come up with the inspiration for this story? Is any of it similar to that of your own wedding?
Thank you so much! I loved being able to use a personal photo for the cover :) The inspiration was from getting engaged, and my first thought was to have the book include funny moments or sentimental experiences from my wedding planning. It turned out to be nothing even close to it. Not even a bit!
For those of us who love your work, is there another story in the making as we speak? Any details on what the story line is about?
Yes! I am writing book 5 but it’s in the very early stages yet, so I don’t have too much to give away, other than it will be more on the darker, women’s fiction side.
When you aren't writing away, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love reading of course, but also being with my husband and our puppy, and I love to practice yoga!
Just for fun, when out shopping (I'm sure you love it as much as I do) - what are your favorite stores to shop in?
Ooh, tough one! I love Victoria’s Secret and Express, but I do a ton of shopping now at my sister’s boutique, Toploft Clothing. I love it!
Lastly, if Up to I Do was made into an awesome Chick Flick, who would you see playing the lead roles?
Another hard one! Hmm...as Emerson....maybe Blake Lively? And Millie could be Emma Watson. I honestly don’t really keep up with movie and actors so that is really hard for me to answer!
Samantha, THANK YOU so much for visiting One Book At A Time this weekend! I had an amazing time catching up with you and helping your readers learn more about the woman behind such great stories! I look forward to hearing more about this future endeavors when you are ready to share! You will have o stop by and fill my readers in as well!
